Custom Functionality & Specialized Technical Guidance

Your website is a critical business asset, not just a digital brochure. When off-the-shelf themes and standard plugins fail to meet your needs, you need a strategic partner who understands the bigger picture.

I bridge the gap between creative vision and functional reality. Whether you are an agency needing a technical lead for a high-stakes project or a business owner looking to scale, I provide the direct oversight and specialized knowledge to ensure your digital foundation is solid, scalable, and secure. And once that foundation is right, my SEO services make sure customers actually find it.

Where a consultant actually earns their keep

Bespoke Development & Technical Oversight

When standard templates hold your business back, I build the custom tools you actually need. Whether it's a unique booking system, a complex directory, or a tailored client portal, I provide the creative technical implementation to make your specific vision a reality.

Direct Expert Partnership

Stop guessing and start executing. I partner directly with you to navigate complex digital decisions. Instead of just "taking orders," I provide the strategic guidance and expert implementation needed to launch a project that is scalable, secure, and built to last.

Inclusive Design & Usability Strategy

A pretty website is useless if it doesn't work for your customers. I design professional, inclusive digital experiences that prioritize your business goals. By focusing on a welcoming layout and clear navigation, I ensure every visitor — regardless of device or ability — can easily connect with your brand.

Built to last only counts if someone keeps it that way. Once your project ships, my WordPress maintenance and support plans in South Jersey cover the updates, backups, and monitoring — from $129/month.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a WordPress consultant actually do?

I look at the problem before the plugin. A consulting engagement usually starts with an audit of what you have — performance, security, architecture, accessibility, SEO — and ends with a written plan: what to fix, what to leave alone, and what it will cost. If you want me to carry out the plan, I can; if your own team or agency does it, the plan still stands on its own.

How is consulting billed?

By the hour, in prepaid blocks, tracked in 15-minute increments. A strategy call or a focused audit fits comfortably in a 5-hour block; a custom build is scoped and quoted separately once the audit says what is actually needed. Current rates are on the rates page.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes, and that is most of what I do. I act as the technical lead behind your design team on a white-label basis: you keep the client relationship and the billing, I handle the architecture, the custom functionality, and the hard parts of the build. NDA-friendly.

Can you build custom functionality, or only advise on it?

Both. Booking systems, directories, client portals, integrations with the tools you already run — if a plugin does it well, I'll say so; if it doesn't, I build it. Custom code lives in a versioned plugin, not buried in your theme, so the next developer can find it.

I already have a developer. Can you just review their work?

Yes. A second-opinion audit is one of the most useful things I do: a plain-English report on what was built, what is sound, and what will cost you later. No sales pitch attached — if the work is good, the report says so.

Let's talk about the project

Tell me what you're trying to build and I'll tell you the straightest way to get there — including when the honest answer is "you don't need me for this."
