WordPress Hosting Questions

Why should I host my WordPress website with you?

While you have the freedom to host your website anywhere, the main reasons clients choose my services are affordability, performance, and convenience.

My hosting costs less than similar services from big providers like WP Engine, SiteGround, and GoDaddy. When compared to other hosts, my private server offers equal or better speed, and it comes with significantly more resources. This affordability ensures that you can share your website with the world without breaking the bank.

Importantly, my WordPress hosting includes all the features you need and is managed by someone you can trust, with over ten years of experience in the WordPress industry. If you ever encounter an issue, you can contact me directly with ease.

What is VPS hosting, and why is it better?

Moving from shared or managed WordPress hosting to a private VPS offers a significant upgrade in performance, security, and control. Think of it like this: shared hosting is a crowded apartment building, managed WordPress hosting is a lovely condo, and a private VPS is like your own dedicated house.

My private Virtual Private Server (VPS) features 12GB RAM, 8 CPU cores, and NVMe drives, providing dedicated, isolated resources on a single server. It means you have complete control and don’t have to share vital resources with other users.

How safe is your hosting?

My WordPress hosting utilizes layers of protection for your website. Firstly, my server is powered by LiteSpeed Enterprise web server, which is not only incredibly fast but also features an integrated firewall.

My server has an additional software firewall built in, and I use WordPress security plugins that further mitigate any potential issues.

Lastly, I use the Cloudflare proxy service to protect my clients from bots, spam, and other possible attacks. While nothing is guaranteed in life, my hosting has more protection than an overwhelming percentage of competitors.

Are SSL certificates included?

Absolutely! Unlimited SSL certificates are included and automatically installed and updated for all websites. There is nothing to manage, and no additional costs for having a secure site.

How much control do I have over my hosting account?

With my hosting, you have total control of the hosting environment. This includes complete access to PHP settings, FTP accounts, email accounts, Softaculous, and more. My hosting uses cPanel for the admin interface, which is used by millions of websites. This level of control empowers you to manage your website as you see fit.

However, most of my clients are extremely happy with the setup I use from the outset, and rarely make any modifications. The options are available, and the choice is yours on how you want to leverage your hosting.

Does your hosting offer email?

Yes! Unlike managed WordPress hosts, such as WP Engine, my server has an SMTP server.

My server is not designed for sending mass/bulk emails, which is no different from any website host. You must use a bulk SMTP service for over 500 emails per day, which is more suitable for extensive email lists, larger e-commerce stores, and marketing messages. We can review your needs in detail.

How affordable is your hosting?

My WordPress hosting costs $300 per year. If you want to use a unique IP address, it’s an additional $24 a year; however, this is no longer necessary for most websites. Additionally, my server has an excellent reputation and a clean history for both websites and email services.
